Bar Galinski had a huge game to get Israel back to winning ways at the U20 European Championship Women Division B tournament as they saw off Austria 68-52.

After back-to-back losses to Group B's leading pair Greece and the Czech Republic, Israel needed a lift and got it in the form of 21 points and 11 rebounds from Galinski as they built a big early lead and never looked back.

"I am very glad that Israel will go to the quarter-final round," said coach Edny Dagan. "This was a very important victory for us. After a rest, we came back with more tempo and energy. The quarter-finals will now be a tough challenge, and we need more of the same."

Milena Lazarevic led the resistance for Austria with 13 points.
The Czech Republic took top spot in the group with a 76-50 rout of previously unbeaten Greece.

Adela Filarova scored 16 points to lead four Czechs in double figures, while Greece wasted 28 points and 10 rebounds from Artemis Spanou.

Belgium won the day's other Group B contest 73-60 to keep Estonia winless with Maaja Bratka scoring 17 points while Annika Koster had nine points and nine rebounds.

"We put in a good effort today, even though we weren't playing one of the better teams in our group," said Belgium coach Daniel Gothals. "This was a good win, and now we will face one of the best teams in this tournament, Sweden, in the quarter-finals."

Jana Raman collected 22 points and six rebounds in vain for Estonia.

In Group A, Sweden made a big statement with a 100-52 demolition of Bulgaria.

Farhiya Abdi scored 19 points to lead six Swedish players scoring in double figures, while Cleopatra Forsman-Goga filled up the stats sheet with 10 points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals.

Mariya Svetoslavova poured in 21 points for Bulgaria.

Reka Balint's 19 points led Hungary to a 62-51 win over hosts FYR of Macedonia, who finish their group campaign winless.

Vanesa Vasilevska led the home effort with 19 points and nine rebounds.
